Maude Morrison

  • LinkedIn

Maude caught the interpreting bug on a visit to the European Parliament her last year in high school - one day, she too would work in an interpreting booth. At that point, she had studied languages extensively, graduating with an AbiBac French-German high school diploma, so she was already on the right path. Maude completed prestigious preparatory classes in literature and received her Master’s Degree in Conference Interpreting at the University of Strasbourg’s Institute of Translators, Interpreters and International Relations (ITI-RI) in 2016.

Maude’s studies helped her cultivate rigor and curiosity - two qualities that serve her well with Aster Interpreting’s clients. She’s more than happy to spend hours studying up on terminology and logistics, her trademark notebooks in hand. As a veteran rock climber, Maude has developed nerves of steel and enjoys pushing herself. Her approach to interpreting is that of a generalist but she particularly enjoys assignments on music, film and agriculture.

Maude is a member of the French Association of Conference Interpreters (AFICI).

Ever since she was little, Lucil has always wanted to work as an interpreter. It’s the dream job of word nerds the world over. A job that takes you to foreign countries and introduces you to many different people. A job where you never stop learning. After spending several years in Spain’s Balearic Islands, the south of England and the Spanish-speaking region of Basque Country, Lucil was able to perfect her language skills and make her childhood dream come true.

Armed with a Master’s Degree in Conference Interpreting at the University of Strasbourg’s Institute of Translators, Interpreters and International Relations (ITI-RI), Lucil kicked off her career as a marketing and medical translator in London before moving to Paris, where she began working as a freelance interpreter.

In 2021, Lucil accepted a staff position as a translator and interpreter with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) in Luxembourg. She especially enjoys the part of her job that requires her to interpret concrete, technical topics.

Since one microphone is clearly never enough, Lucil is always on the lookout for the chance to join a choir, not to mention a dance troupe. These activities give her the opportunity to collaborate with others on creative projects and to dedicate herself to the performing arts.
